Based on a polished stainless steel spiral structure the sculpture is surrounding a central rotating column.  this column rotates at a slow speed of 1 revolution per minute and is powered by a drive unit located in the base of the structure (hidden from view).

Etched stainless newspapers in a sculptural form clad the exterior of the spiral structure.

The central rotating column of the structure as well as the supporting struts are painted black to minimise their impact and give the illusion of the spiral as a freeform structure spiraling ‘ever upward’ (symbolizing the advancement of the human spirit). the polished stainless steel fo the etched newspapers reflect the sunshine during the day and are enhanced by lighting appropriately positioned at night.
